Day 1
Morning arrival in Bangkok with transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a long tail boat ride along the Chao Phraya River and canals, stopping at Wat Arun. Free time in the evening and overnight in Bangkok.
Day 2
After breakfast, visit the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, home to the Emerald Buddha, followed by Wat Pho and its giant reclining Buddha. In the afternoon, explore the Jim Thompson House to learn about Thai silk heritage. Return to the hotel for leisure and overnight in Bangkok.
Day 3
After breakfast, head southwest to visit Maeklong Railway Market and enjoy local snacks. Continue to Damnoen Saduak for a boat ride through the floating market. Then travel to Kanchanaburi to visit the WWII memorial, Jeath War Museum, and Cemetery. Enjoy lunch at a floating restaurant, feed monkeys in Wang Pho, ride a scenic train by the river, and visit the famous Kwai Bridge.
Day 4
In the morning, depart for Ayutthaya, the former Thai capital. Visit Wat Phu Khao Thong, the ancient palace, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, and Viharn Phra Mongkol Bopit, home to one of Thailand’s largest bronze Buddhas. After lunch (on your own), see the reclining Buddha at Wat Lokaya Sutha. Overnight in Ayutthaya.
Day 5
On your final day, visit the Bang Pa In Summer Palace, a blend of Thai, Chinese, Khmer, and European architecture from the Ayutthaya era. Afterward, return to Bangkok by noon. Enjoy your free time before your airport transfer for your international flight.
